1An Act to amend 230.35 (4) (a) 10., 230.35 (4) (c) and 230.35 (4) (d) (intro.); to 2create 230.35 (4) (a) 5m. of the statutes; relating to: the establishment of
3November 11 as a day on which the offices of the agencies of state government

This bill designates November 11, the day on which Veterans Day is traditionally celebrated, as a state holiday on which state offices are closed. Under current law, the offices of the agencies of state government are generally closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and a total of nine state holidays. The bill also increases the number of regular paid holidays state employees receive annually from 9 days to 10 days and eliminates the personal floating holiday provided to state employees in recognition of Veterans Day.
