AJR128,1,64Whereas, the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh Titans women’s volleyball 5team won the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball National Championship, 6making program history by claiming the team’s first national title; and AJR128,1,107Whereas, the Titans completed the national tournament with a flawless 8performance, winning all six matches and not dropping a single set, including a 9straight-sets victory in the championship match against the University of La Verne 10Leopards; and AJR128,1,1211Whereas, the Titans concluded their 2025 season with an outstanding 34–3 12overall record and an undefeated conference record; and AJR128,2,213Whereas, this championship marks the first national title in program history
1for the UW–Oshkosh women’s volleyball team and represents the university’s 51st 2national championship overall; and AJR128,2,63Whereas, the success of the Titans extends beyond athletic excellence, as the 4team was previously honored in 2024 with collective academic achievement 5recognition (with a 3.6 team grade point average) by the American Volleyball 6Coaches Association All-Academic team; and AJR128,2,107Whereas, the dedication, teamwork, discipline, and academic commitment 8demonstrated by the players and coaching staff reflect positively on the university, 9the city of Oshkosh, the Fox Valley region, and the state of Wisconsin; now, 10therefore, be it AJR128,2,1511Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the Wisconsin 12Legislature hereby congratulates the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh Titans 13women’s volleyball team, along with its coaches and staff and the university 14community, for winning the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball National 15Championship; and, be it further AJR128,2,1716Resolved, That the legislature commends the Titans for their exceptional 17performance, sportsmanship, and academic dedication; and, be it further AJR128,2,2018Resolved, That the legislature extends its gratitude to the University of 19Wisconsin–Oshkosh for bringing pride and positive recognition to the city of 20Oshkosh, the Fox Valley region, and the state of Wisconsin; and, be it further AJR128,3,221Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the University of 22Wisconsin–Oshkosh, the UW–Oshkosh women’s volleyball team, and the
1UW–Oshkosh athletic department as an expression of esteem and recognition from 2the State of Wisconsin.
