AJR92,1,42Whereas, the history of the U.S. Marine Corps began with a vote taken by the 3Continental Congress on November 10, 1775, to raise two battalions of marines for 4service during the American Revolutionary War; and AJR92,1,65Whereas, the U.S. Marine Corps thus celebrates November 10 as its official 6birthday; and AJR92,1,87Whereas, November 10, 2025, will be the U.S. Marine Corps’s 250th birthday; 8and AJR92,1,119Whereas, in celebration of this historic date, we recognize the U.S. Marine 10Corps for its valiant and unwavering service to our country, constitution, and 11liberties for the past 250 years; and AJR92,1,1312Whereas, over 165,000 active-duty marines are currently stationed around the 13world to courageously defend our nation with unparalleled devotion; and AJR92,2,314Whereas, hundreds of marines have trained at Fort McCoy in Monroe County,
