11nonresident vehicle admission receipts. Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the Department of Natural Resources issues hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses, permits, and other approvals and charges a fee to issue most approvals. This bill increases nonresident hunting, fishing, and trapping approval fees, of which the following is a sample:
The bill also provides that DNR must charge at least a $19.85 fee for a daily nonresident vehicle admission receipt. Under current law, a vehicle admission receipt is required for a person to operate a vehicle in a vehicle admission area, which includes any state park and certain other state recreational areas and natural areas. Current law requires DNR to charge a fee for a nonresident vehicle admission receipt but does not specify an amount.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
SB670,2,5327.01 (7) (g) 2. Except as provided in subds. 3. and 4., the department shall 4charge a at least a $19.85 fee for a daily vehicle admission receipt, as determined 5by the secretary, for any vehicle that has a registration plate from another state.
