1An Act to repeal 20.435 (1) (ck); to create 20.435 (1) (ck) of the statutes; 2relating to: funding for grants for community emergency medical services
3and falls prevention initiatives and making an appropriation. Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill appropriates $600,000 in fiscal year 2025-26 to the Department of Health Services for grants for emergency medical services programs to employ a community paramedic or community emergency medical services practitioner, as provided in other legislation. In addition, the bill appropriates $200,000 in each of fiscal years 2025-26 and 2026-27 to DHS for grants to the Wisconsin Institute of Healthy Aging, as provided in the other legislation. If the other legislation is not enacted into law during the 2025 legislative session, the appropriation of the money is void.

1for the appropriation to the department of health services under s. 20.435 (1) (a), 2the dollar amount for fiscal year 2025-26 is increased by $200,000 and the dollar 3amount for fiscal year 2026-27 is increased by $200,000 for grants for falls 4prevention initiatives.
