SJR89,1,53Whereas, October is recognized nationally as Vaccine Injury Awareness 4Month, a time to acknowledge and support individuals and families affected by 5vaccine-related injuries; and SJR89,1,76Whereas, the black ribbon has been chosen as the symbol for this month to 7represent the sensitive and often stigmatized nature of these experiences; and SJR89,1,98Whereas, vaccine injuries may present gradually and are sometimes 9misattributed to other causes due to their subtle onset; and SJR89,1,1210Whereas, vaccine information sheets provided in medical settings may not 11fully reflect the potential adverse effects listed in manufacturer package inserts or 12post-marketing surveillance data; and SJR89,2,313Whereas, informed consent in healthcare requires access to accurate and 14detailed information, including vaccine inserts, reporting systems such as the
