HAS 7.05 Late renewal.
HAS 7.01 HAS 7.01 Definitions. As used in this chapter:
HAS 7.01(1) (1) "Board" means the hearing and speech examining board.
HAS 7.01(2) (2) "Department" means the department of safety and professional services.

HAS 7.02 HAS 7.02 Licenses. Hearing instrument specialist licenses granted under ss. 459.05 and 459.06, Stats., expire on February 1 of each odd-numbered year. Except as provided in s. 459.24 (6), Stats., speech-language pathologist and audiologist licenses granted under ss. 459.24 and 459.28, Stats., expire on February 1 of each odd-numbered year.

HAS 7.03 HAS 7.03 Renewal of license.
HAS 7.03(1)(1) In order to renew a hearing instrument specialist license on or before the renewal date, the licensee shall submit the following:
HAS 7.03(1)(a) (a) A renewal application on a form provided by the department.
HAS 7.03(1)(b) (b) Certification of calibration of audiometric equipment as required under s. 459.085, Stats.
HAS 7.03(1)(c) (c) The renewal fee specified in s. 440.08 (2) (a) 38., Stats.
HAS 7.03(1)(d) (d) Except as provided in par. (e), certification that the applicant has completed, within the 2 years immediately preceding the date of his or her application, 20 hours of continuing education programs or courses of study approved by the board.
HAS 7.03(1)(e) (e) A new licensee is not required to report continuing education hours until the second renewal date following the initial grant of his or her license.
HAS 7.03(2) (2) In order to renew a speech-language pathologist or an audiologist license on or before the renewal date, the licensee shall submit the following:
HAS 7.03(2)(a) (a) A renewal application on a form provided by the department.
HAS 7.03(2)(b) (b) The renewal fee specified in s. 440.08 (2) (a) 15. or 68v., Stats., as appropriate.
HAS 7.03(2)(c) (c) Except as provided in par. (d), certification that the applicant has completed, within the 2 years immediately preceding the date of his or her application, 20 hours of continuing education programs or courses of study approved by the board, as provided under s. HAS 8.03.
HAS 7.03(2)(d) (d) A new licensee is not required to report continuing education hours until the second renewal date following the initial grant of his or her license.

HAS 7.04 HAS 7.04 Failure to renew. A licensee who fails to renew a license by the applicable renewal date shall not practice as a hearing instrument specialist, speech-language pathologist or audiologist until the license is restored under s. HAS 7.05.

HAS 7.05 HAS 7.05 Late renewal.
HAS 7.05(1)(1) A hearing instrument specialist who fails to renew his or her license by the renewal date may renew the license by satisfying the following requirements:
HAS 7.05(1)(a) (a) If applying less than 5 years after the renewal date, submitting to the department:
HAS 7.05(1)(a)1. 1. An application for renewal on a form provided by the department.
HAS 7.05(1)(a)2. 2. The applicable renewal fee specified in s. 440.08 (2) (a) and (3), Stats.
HAS 7.05(1)(a)3. 3. Certification of calibration of audiometric equipment as required under s. 459.085, Stats.
HAS 7.05(1)(a)4. 4. Certification that the applicant has completed, within the 2 years preceding the date of his or her application, 20 hours of continuing education programs or courses of study approved or required by the board, as provided under s. HAS 8.03.
HAS 7.05(1)(b) (b) If applying 5 years or more after the renewal date, satisfying the requirements in par. (a), and submitting proof of all of the following:
HAS 7.05(1)(b)1. 1. Successful completion of educational coursework required by the board to ensure protection of the public health, safety and welfare.
HAS 7.05(1)(b)2. 2. Successful completion of an examination required by the board to ensure protection of the public health, safety and welfare.
HAS 7.05(2) (2) A speech-language pathologist or audiologist who fails to renew his or her license by the renewal date may renew the license by satisfying the following requirements:
HAS 7.05(2)(a) (a) If applying less than 5 years after the renewal date, submitting to the department:
HAS 7.05(2)(a)1. 1. An application for renewal on a form provided by the department.
HAS 7.05(2)(a)2. 2. The applicable renewal fee specified in s. 440.08 (2) (a) and (3), Stats.
HAS 7.05(2)(a)3. 3. Certification that the applicant has completed, within the 2 years immediately preceding the date of his or her application, 20 hours of continuing education programs or courses of study approved or required by the board, as provided under s. HAS 8.03.
HAS 7.05(2)(b) (b) If applying 5 years or more after the renewal date, satisfying the requirements in par. (a), and submitting proof of all of the following:
