On August 13, 2014, the Department of Natural Resources submitted a proposed rule in final draft form to the chief clerk of the Senate and Assembly pursuant to s. 227.19 (2), Stats. The rule revises Chapters NR 10 and 27, relating to the addition of the Blanding's Turtle to the state protected wild animal list.

This rule was approved by the Governor on June 25, 2014, pursuant to s. 227.185, Stats.
