NOTICE OF SUBMITTAL OF RULES TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RULES CLEARINGHOUSE

SPECIAL EDUCATION AID

CHAPTER PI 30, WISCONSIN ADMINISTRATIVE CODE

On October 3, 2016, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse.

The scope statement for this rule, SS 042-16, was published in Register No. 725B, on May 31, 2016, and approved by State Superintendent Tony Evers on June 14, 2016. Pursuant to Coyne v. Walker, the Department of Public Instruction is not required to obtain the Governor’s approval for the statement of scope for this rule. Coyne v. Walker, 2016 WI 38.

The proposed rule amends ch. PI 30, relating to changes to High Cost Special Education Aid.

Public hearings will be scheduled as required under s. 227.16 (1), Stats.
