NOTICE OF SUBMITTAL OF RULES TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RULES CLEARINGHOUSE

PI 34, Teacher Education Program Approval and Licenses

On December 22, 2016, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse.

The scope statement for this rule, SS 087-16, was published in Register No. 730A1, on

October 3, 2016, and approved by State Superintendent Tony Evers on October 13, 2016. Pursuant to Coyne v. Walker, the Department of Public Instruction is not required to obtain the Governor’s approval for the statement of scope for this rule. Coyne v. Walker, 2016 WI 38.

The proposed rule amends ch. PI 34, relating to permanent revisions to PI 34 related to Emergency Rule 1623.

Public hearings will be scheduled as required under s. 227.16 (1), Stats.
