RE: Petition for Authorization to Repeal Rule MPSW 19.05 (2)
Dear Senator Nass and Representative Ballweg:
I am petitioning for authorization to repeal rule MPSW 19.05 (2). A copy of the proposed rule is attached.
MPSW 19.05 (2) allows the Sections of the Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling and Social Work Examining to conduct audits or investigations, including random audits, to determine continuing education compliance by credential holders. 2017 Act 59 removed the authority for Examining Boards to conduct continuing education audits. Therefore, the Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling and Social Work Examining Board is requesting authorization to repeal the rule by utilizing the expedited process under s. 227.26 (4), Stats. Thank you.
