NOTICE OF SUBMITTAL OF RULES TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RULES CLEARINGHOUSE

PI 36, Public School Inter-District Open Enrollment

 

On January 22, 2018, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse.

The scope statement for this rule, SS 109-17, was published in Register No. 742A2 on October 9, 2017, and approved by State Superintendent Tony Evers on November 21, 2017. Pursuant to Coyne v. Walker, the Department of Public Instruction is not required to obtain the Governor’s approval for the statement of scope for this rule. Coyne v. Walker, 368 Wis.2d 444.

The proposed rule amends PI 36, relating to restoring part time open enrollment rules.

Public hearings will be scheduled as required under s. 227.16 (1), Stats.
