NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CLEARINGHOUSE RULE 19-006
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to ss. 227.17 and 227.24 (4), Stats., the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing on proposed permanent rule Wisconsin Administrative Code ch. Trans 58 relating to the surveying reference station system (height modernization) user fee. HEARING INFORMATION:

Appearances at the Hearing and Submittal of Written Comments: Interested persons are invited to appear at the hearing and will be afforded the opportunity to make an oral presentation of their positions. Persons making oral presentations are requested to also submit their written comments.

Initial Regulatory Flexibility Analysis: The proposed rule will have an effect on small businesses, as defined under s. 227.114 (1), Stats. The projected costs are $300 per user per year (Individual Yearly Rate); $300 per user per year for the first 5 users in the organization plus $150 per user per year thereafter (Organizational Yearly Rate); and $50 per user per month (Individual Monthly Rate). For even a very small business, such as a self-employed individual, these costs are not a significant economic impact. If the Department did not support the Active Surveying Reference Station System, it would either no longer function or be replaced by a privately-run surveying reference system.
