On March 8, 2019, the Wisconsin Department of Revenue submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse.
The scope statement for this rule, SS 094-18, was approved by the Governor on August 1, 2018, published in Register No. 752A2 on August 13, 2018, and approved by the Secretary of Revenue on October 3, 2018.
Analysis
The proposed rule order contains Chapter Tax 12 updates to modernize the assessor certification and training language and process to agree with state law, technology, and other practical considerations.
Agency Procedure for Promulgation
A public hearing on the proposed rule is required and will be scheduled.
The Office of the Secretary is primarily responsible for the promulgation of the proposed rule.
