SUMMER AND INTERIM SESSION CLASSES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to s. 121.14 (1) (a), Stats.; and interpreting s. 121.14, Stats., the Department of Public Instruction will hold a public hearing as required under s. 227.24 (4), Stats., to consider the promulgation of Emergency Rule 2003, amending PI 17 relating to expanding virtual summer and interim session courses. The objective of the emergency rule is to expand the grade levels in which school districts and county children with disabilities education boards may receive state aid in providing virtual instruction during summer and interim session courses, as necessitated by the COVID-19 emergency.
The Department will hold the public hearing at the time shown below via teleconference due to the restrictions adopted during the COVID-19 emergency declaration established for Dane County. The hearing will be held as follows:

The purpose of this hearing to consider public testimony on the scope statement under consideration. Interested persons are invited to call into the hearing and will be afforded the opportunity to make a presentation of their position on the proposed rule orally. Questions or comments about the scope statement under consideration may be posed and will be duly recorded.
