NOTICE OF SUBMITTAL OF RULES TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL RULES CLEARINGHOUSE
Chapter PI 5, High School Equivalency Diplomas And Certificates Of General Educational Development On Friday, March 12, 2021, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse.
The scope statement for this rule, SS 146-20, was published in Register No. 779A1, on November 2, 2020, and approved by State Superintendent Carolyn Stanford Taylor on November 17, 2020. An identical emergency rule, EmR 2046, affecting the same rules contained in this proposed rule and relating to the same purpose as this proposed rule has been published and is in effect.
The proposed rule amends ch. PI 5, relating to age waivers for general educational development tests. Public hearings will be scheduled as required under s. 227.16 (1), Stats. The Division for Academic Excellence within the Department of Public Instruction is primarily responsible for promulgation of this rule.
