2. Detailed description of the objective of the rule
The proposed rule will bring DCF 101.16 (3) (c) into conformance with s. 49.147 (4) (as), Stats., on the number of required hours for a Wisconsin Works participant in a community service job and will bring DCF 101.16 (4) (e) 1. into conformance with s. 49.147 (5) (bs), Stats., on the required number of hours and the limit on the number of hours of education and training activities for a Wisconsin Works participant in a transitional placement. 3. Detailed explanation of statutory authority for the rule
Section 49.147 (4) (as), Stats., provides that a Wisconsin Works agency may require a Wisconsin Works participant placed in a community service job to spend up to 40 hours per week in activities. Section 49.147 (5) (bs), Stats., provides that a Wisconsin Works agency may require a Wisconsin Works participant placed in a transitional placement to participate in education or training activities for not more than 12 hours per week and to spend up to 40 hours per week in activities. Section 227.11 (2) (a), Stats., expressly confers rule-making authority on each agency to promulgate rules interpreting the provisions of any statute enforced or administered by the agency. 4.
