Notice of Submittal of Proposed Rule to
Legislative Council Rules Clearinghouse
On July 21, 2026, the Department of Natural Resources submitted a proposed rule to the Wisconsin Legislative Council Clearinghouse pursuant to s. 227.15 (1), Wis. Stats. Analysis
The proposed rules affect chs. NR 20, 21, 22, and 23, relating to fish possession limits. Statement of Scope
The statement of scope for this rule, SS 050-25 was approved by the Governor on August 12, 2025, published in Register No. 836A3 on August 18, 2025, and approved by the Natural Resources Board on December 10, 2025. Agency Procedure for Promulgation
A public hearing is required and will be held on August 19, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
