1995 WISCONSIN ACT 422
An Act to repeal 346.55 (2); and to amend 346.50 (1) (intro.) and 346.56 (2) of the statutes; relating to: displaying a vehicle for sale upon a highway.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Law revision committee prefatory note: This bill is introduced by the law revision committee under s. 13.83 (1) (c) 1., stats. After careful consideration of the court of appeals' decision in City of Milwaukee v. Blondis, 157 Wis. 2d 730, 460 N.W.2d 815 (1990), the law revision committee has determined that codifying the decision is desirable as a matter of public policy.
422,1 Section 1 . 346.50 (1) (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read:
346.50 (1) (intro.) The prohibitions against stopping or leaving a vehicle stand contained in ss. 346.51 to 346.54 and 346.55 (1), (3) and (4) do not apply when:
422,2 Section 2 . 346.55 (2) of the statutes is repealed.
422,3 Section 3 . 346.56 (2) of the statutes is amended to read:
346.56 (2) Any person violating s. 346.51 or 346.55 (1) or (2) may be required to forfeit not less than $30 nor more than $300.
Note: This bill repeals a provision of state law that prohibits any person from stopping or leaving upon a highway any vehicle displayed for sale.
