1997 WISCONSIN ACT 322
An Act to amend 29.092 (3) (g) and 29.145 (1c) (c); and to create 29.145 (1cm) of the statutes; relating to: fishing licenses for disabled veterans.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
322,1 Section 1 . 29.092 (3) (g) of the statutes, as created by 1997 Wisconsin Act 1, is amended to read:
29.092 (3) (g) Resident disabled veteran. The fee for an annual fishing license issued to a resident disabled veteran under s. 29.145 (1c) (c) is $4.25 $2.25.
322,2 Section 2 . 29.145 (1c) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:
29.145 (1c) (c) Produces evidence that shows that he or she is a veteran, as defined in 38 USC 101, and is receiving disability compensation benefits under 38 USC 301 to 363 1101 to 1163 for a reduction in earning capacity disabilities that result in a disability rating that is rated greater than 70% or greater under 38 USC 355 1114.
322,3 Section 3 . 29.145 (1cm) of the statutes is created to read:
29.145 (1cm) Federal matching funds. If the department determines that the fee collected for an annual fishing license issued under sub. (1c) (c) is less or more than is necessary to qualify these licenses for matching funding under 16 USC 777c, the department shall submit proposed legislation to the legislature in the manner provided under s. 13.172. (2) to adjust the fee so that is equals the minimum amount necessary to qualify for the matching funding.
322,4 Section 4 . Initial applicability.
(1) This act first applies to fishing licenses applied for on the effective date of this subsection.
