An Act to amend 447.07 (3) (d) of the statutes; relating to: exemption from discipline for dentists who send impressions, measurements or patients to dental laboratories for shade verification.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
97,1 Section 1 . 447.07 (3) (d) of the statutes is amended to read:
447.07 (3) (d) Directly or indirectly sent, for a purpose other than shade verification, impressions or measurements to a dental laboratory without a written work authorization on a form approved by the examining board and signed by the authorizing dentist, or directly or indirectly sent a patient, or an agent of a patient, to a dental laboratory for any purpose other than for shade verification. The examining board or its agents or employes may inspect dental offices and the work authorization records of dental laboratories to determine compliance with this paragraph.
97,2 Section 2 . Initial applicability.
(1) This act first applies to patients, agents of patients, impressions or measurements that are sent to dental laboratories on the effective date of this subsection.
