2001 WISCONSIN ACT 1
An Act relating to: funding for the badger care health care program, requiring the department of health and family services to submit a plan to the joint committee on finance for encouraging greater participation in the health insurance premium payment program, and making appropriations.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
1,1g Section 1g. Nonstatutory provisions.
(1) Health insurance premium payment program. Not later than 45 days after the effective date of this subsection, the department of health and family services shall submit a plan to the joint committee on finance for encouraging greater participation in the health insurance premium payment program.
1,1r Section 1r. Appropriation changes.
(1) Badger care health care program. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of health and family services under section 20.435 (4) (bc) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2001, the dollar amount is increased by $11,512,200 for fiscal year 2000-01.
(2) Income augmentation moneys. Notwithstanding section 20.001 (3) (c) of the statutes, not later than 30 days after the effective date of this subsection, there is lapsed to the general fund $11,237,100 from the appropriation account of the department of health and family services under section 20.435 (8) (mb) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 2001.
