2001 WISCONSIN ACT 99
An Act to create 14.16 (11) of the statutes; relating to: proclaiming Purple Heart Day.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
99,1 Section 1. 14.16 (11) of the statutes is created to read:
14.16 (11) Purple Heart Day. The governor shall annually proclaim August 7 as Purple Heart Day and urge the people and organizations of the state to display the American flag on that day as a public expression of the recognition of those individuals who have been wounded or killed in action preserving the freedoms that all United States citizens cherish.
