2013 WISCONSIN ACT 248

An Act to amend 23.115 (3) and 23.175 (2) (a) of the statutes; relating to: including water trails in the state trail system.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

248,1g Section 1g. 23.115 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:

23.115 (3) Subsection (2) does not apply to snowmobile trails on land under the control of the department that are maintained by snowmobile clubs or other nonprofit organizations or to water trails under s. 23.175 (2) (a).

248,1m Section 1m. 23.175 (2) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:

23.175 (2) (a) Designate a system of state trails as part of the state park system for use by equestrians, bicyclists, riders of electric personal assistive mobility devices, cross-country skiers or hikers. The state trail system may also include water trails. The state trail system shall be named the "Aldo Leopold Legacy Trail System."
