AB13-ASA1-AA19,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB13-ASA1-AA19,1,2 1. Page 1, line 4: after that line insert:

AB13-ASA1-AA19,1,3 " Section 1e. 778.26 (10) of the statutes is created to read:

AB13-ASA1-AA19,1,5 778.26 (10) The collection of costs under the procedure established by this section is subject to s. 943.13 (6).

AB13-ASA1-AA19, s. 1m Section 1m. 814.04 (intro.) of the statutes, as affected by 1995 Wisconsin Act 24, 1995 Wisconsin Act 27, section 7147x, and 1995 Wisconsin Act 133, is amended to read:

AB13-ASA1-AA19,1,12 814.04 Items of costs. (intro.) Except as provided in ss. 93.20, 101.22 (6) (i) and (6m) (a), 769.313, 814.025, 814.245, 895.035 (4) and (4m), 895.75 (3), 895.77 (2), 895.79 (3), 895.80 (3), 943.13 (6), 943.212 (2) (b), 943.245 (2) (d) and 943.51 (2) (b), when allowed costs shall be as follows:

AB13-ASA1-AA19, s. 1s Section 1s. 814.04 (intro.) of the statutes, as affected by 1995 Wisconsin Act 27, section 7148c, and 1995 Wisconsin Act ... (this act), is repealed and recreated to read:

AB13-ASA1-AA19,2,4 814.04 Items of costs. (intro.) Except as provided in ss. 93.20, 106.04 (6) (i) and (6m) (a), 769.313, 814.025, 814.245, 895.035 (4) and (4m), 895.75 (3), 895.77 (2), 895.79 (3), 895.80 (3), 943.13 (6), 943.212 (2) (b), 943.245 (2) (d) and 943.51 (2) (b), when allowed costs shall be as follows:".

AB13-ASA1-AA19,2,5 2. Page 2, line 4: after that line insert:

AB13-ASA1-AA19,2,6 " Section 6g. 943.13 (6) of the statutes is created to read:

AB13-ASA1-AA19,2,10 943.13 (6) If a prosecutor has a land survey conducted in connection with an action for a forfeiture under this section, the unit of government that is prosecuting the action for the forfeiture shall pay all costs relating to that land survey, including any expert witness fees paid to the person who conducts the survey.".

AB13-ASA1-AA19, s. 6r Section 6r. 973.06 (1) (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB13-ASA1-AA19,2,13 973.06 (1) (intro.) Except as provided in s. ss. 93.20 and 943.13 (6), the costs taxable against the defendant shall consist of the following items and no others:".

AB13-ASA1-AA19,2,16 " Section 7m. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:

AB13-ASA1-AA19,2,18 (1) The repeal and recreation of section 814.04 (intro.) of the statutes takes effect on July 1, 1996.".
