ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 7, To ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 2, To 1995 ASSEMBLY BILL 13

AB13-ASA2-AA7,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB13-ASA2-AA7,1,2 1. Page 1, line 5: after "land" insert "and posting of certain county lands".

AB13-ASA2-AA7,1,3 2. Page 1, line 8: after that line insert:

AB13-ASA2-AA7,1,4 " Section 1m. 59.675 of the statutes is created to read:

AB13-ASA2-AA7,1,7 59.675 Posting of certain county lands. (1) (a) Except as provided in par. (b), the board shall post any boundary of land owned by the county as specified in sub. (2) if the land abuts private land along that boundary.

AB13-ASA2-AA7,1,11 (b) A board is not required to post a boundary of county land under par. (a) if the abutting private land is posted, in a manner that is substantially similar to the manner described in sub. (2), with a sign that carries an appropriate notice that the land is private and the name of the owner or occupant giving notice.

AB13-ASA2-AA7,1,13 (2) A board shall post land under sub. (1) (a) using one of the following procedures:

AB13-ASA2-AA7,2,2 (a) Placing a sign at least 11 inches square in at least 2 conspicuous places for every 150 yards of boundary to be posted. The sign must carry an appropriate notice that it marks the boundary between county land and private land and the name of the county that owns the land.

AB13-ASA2-AA7,2,5 (b) Making markings of at least one foot long in at least 2 conspicuous places for every 150 yards of boundary to be posted, including in a contrasting color the phrase "county land boundary" and the name of the county that owns the land.".
