AB21-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB21-AA2,2,2 1. Page 6, line 15: on lines 15 to 20, delete the underscored material and substitute: "The department shall request a waiver from the secretary of the federal department of health and human services to permit the department of health and social services to require parents and other caretaker relatives of children who are at least 6 weeks old to participate in the job opportunities and basic skills program on a full-time basis, unless the parent or other caretaker relative is exempt from participation in the program for a reason other than being a parent or other caretaker relative of a child under 6 weeks of age. If the department's request for a waiver under this paragraph is granted, the department shall require the full-time participation of parents and other caretaker relatives to the extent permitted under the waiver. If the department's request for a waiver under this paragraph is denied, the department shall require a parent or other caretaker relative of a child who is at least one year of age to participate in the program under this section on a full-time basis, unless the parent or other caretaker relative is exempt from participation in the program for a reason other than being a parent or other caretaker relative of a child under one year of age.".
