AB290-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB290-AA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 2: delete lines 2 to 6 and substitute:

AB290-AA1,1,10 "66.069 (1) (b) On October 15 in each year notice shall be given to the owner or occupant of all lots or parcels of real estate to which water has been furnished prior to October 1 by a water utility operated by any town, city or village and payment for which is owing and in arrears at the time of giving such notice If an owner of a lot or parcel of real estate agrees to be responsible for water bills, if a water utility operated by a town, city or village has furnished water to the lot or parcel and if the payment for the water is in arrears, the town, city or village shall provide the owner with a notice under this paragraph. The department in charge".

AB290-AA1,1,14 3. Page 2, line 12: delete "same is paid by November 1 thereafter" and substitute: "same is paid by November 1 thereafter any arrears incurred before October 1 of a year are paid by November 1 of that year".

AB290-AA1,2,4 4. Page 2, line 18: before the period insert: ". The notice may be provided to the owner at any time, except that in order to impose a penalty on November 1 of a year and levy the arrears as a tax on November 15 of that year the notice must be provided no later than October 15 of that year".
