AB37-ASA1-AA13,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:
AB37-ASA1-AA13,1,3 21. Page 1, line 5: after "law" insert ", publication or dissemination of false
3information pertaining to a response to certain questions and providing a penalty".
AB37-ASA1-AA13,1,4 42. Page 10, line 13: after that line insert:
AB37-ASA1-AA13,1,5 5" Section 18g. 12.06 of the statutes is created to read:
AB37-ASA1-AA13,1,7 612.06 False representations of responses to questions. (1) In this
7section:
AB37-ASA1-AA13,1,98 (a) "Elective local official" means any individual who holds a local office or has
9been elected or appointed to fill a local office but has not yet taken office.
AB37-ASA1-AA13,1,1110 (b) "Elective national official" means any individual who holds a national office
11or has been elected to fill a national office but has not yet taken office.
AB37-ASA1-AA13,1,1312 (c) "Elective state official" means any individual who holds a state office or has
13been elected or appointed to fill a state office but has not yet taken office.
AB37-ASA1-AA13,2,3 14(2) No person may knowingly publish or disseminate information which
15indicates that an elective local official, elective national official, elective state official

1or candidate for local, national or state office has responded to a verbal or written
2question in a particular manner if the indicated question has not been asked, or the
3indicated response has not been made or no response has been made.
AB37-ASA1-AA13, s. 18r 4Section 18r. 12.60 (1) (bm) of the statutes is created to read:
AB37-ASA1-AA13,2,55 12.60 (1) (bm) Whoever violates s. 12.06 may be fined not more than $1,000.".
