AB37-ASA2-AA16,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB37-ASA2-AA16,1,2 1. Page 4, line 11: after that line insert:

AB37-ASA2-AA16,1,3 " Section 5m. 11.19 (title) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB37-ASA2-AA16,1,5 11.19 (title) Dissolution Carry-over of surplus funds; dissolution of registrants; termination reports.".

AB37-ASA2-AA16,1,6 2. Page 5, line 2: after that line insert:

AB37-ASA2-AA16,1,7 " Section 6m. 11.19 (6) of the statutes is created to read:

AB37-ASA2-AA16,1,15 11.19 (6) (a) No candidate for legislative office, personal campaign committee of such a candidate or support committee of such a candidate authorized under s. 11.05 (3) (p) may retain in a campaign depository account during the period prior to the applicable deadline for filing nomination papers under s. 8.15 (1), 8.20 (8) (a) or 8.50 (3) (a) for the election at which the candidate seeks office or during the period following the general election or the special election at which the candidate seeks office contributions that exceed incurred obligations by more than the following amount:

AB37-ASA2-AA16,2,1 1. For a candidate for the office of representative to the assembly, $5,000.

AB37-ASA2-AA16,2,2 2. For a candidate for the office of state senator, $10,000.

AB37-ASA2-AA16,2,7 (b) A candidate or treasurer of a personal campaign committee or support committee shall transfer contributions in excess of the amount permitted under par. (a) for another political purpose not prohibited by law, shall return the contributions to the donors in an amount not exceeding the original contributions, or shall donate the contributions to a charitable organization or to the common school fund.".
