AB468-AA2,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB468-AA2,1,3 21. Page 1, line 2: before the period insert: "and granting rule-making
3authority".
AB468-AA2,1,4 42. Page 1, line 3: after "is" insert "renumbered 30.635 (1) and".
AB468-AA2,1,5 53. Page 1, line 4: delete lines 4 to 8 and substitute:
AB468-AA2,1,11 6"30.635 (1) On lakes 50 acres or less having public access, motorboats may not
7be operated
no person may operate a motorboat in excess of slow-no-wake speed,
8except when such lakes serve as thoroughfares between 2 or more navigable lakes.
9The department by rule may modify or waive the requirements of this section as to
10particular lakes, if it finds that public safety is not impaired by such modification or
11waiver.
AB468-AA2, s. 1m 12Section 1m. 30.635 (2) of the statutes is created to read:
AB468-AA2,1,1613 30.635 (2) (a) On lakes that are more than 50 acres but less than 71 acres, and
14that have public access, no person may operate a motorboat in excess of
15slow-no-wake speed, except when such lakes serve as thoroughfares between 2 or
16more navigable lakes, if pars. (b) and (c) apply.

1(b) The department by rule may impose the requirements under par. (a) to a
2particular lake if a petition for the rule is filed under s. 227.12 and if the department
3finds that public safety will be furthered by the imposition of the requirements.
AB468-AA2,2,54 (c) The department may promulgate a rule under par. (b) only if a petition for
5the rule is filed under s. 227.12.".
