AB557-ASA1-AA10,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB557-ASA1-AA10,1,3 1. Page 3, line 17: after the semicolon insert: "restricting the use of state or federal funds for highway improvements on a certain portion of I 43;".

AB557-ASA1-AA10,1,4 2. Page 28, line 7: after that line insert:

AB557-ASA1-AA10,1,5 " Section 54m. 84.013 (7) of the statutes is created to read:

AB557-ASA1-AA10,1,11 84.013 (7) (a) No state or federal funds appropriated for the department may be expended for any highway construction, reconstruction or reconditioning that results in additional lanes on I 43 between Bender and Devon streets and the north Milwaukee County line without the prior approval of the common council of the city of Glendale and of the village boards of the villages of Bayside, Fox Point, River Hills and Whitefish Bay.

AB557-ASA1-AA10,1,13 (b) Nothing in par. (a) prohibits the expenditure of state or federal funds for the maintenance or resurfacing of that portion of I 43 specified in par. (a).".

AB557-ASA1-AA10,2,2 3. Page 84, line 17: on lines 17 and 18, delete "one year" and substitute: "the first day of the 8th month beginning".
