AB591-ASA3-AA3,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB591-ASA3-AA3,1,4 1. Page 72, line 21: after "(5)" insert: ", except that a participant who wishes to participate in education and training activities specified under sub. (4) (am) shall be placed under sub. (4)".

AB591-ASA3-AA3,1,5 2. Page 74, line 14: delete "be required to".

AB591-ASA3-AA3,1,8 3. Page 74, line 15: after "agency" insert: ", or, if as of December 1, 1995, the individual was participating in education or training under s. 49.193 (4) (j) 4. or 49.27 (5) (e) 2., as part of a plan to complete that education or training program".

A Wisconsin works agency may require a participant placed in a community service job program to work not more than 40 hours per week in a community service job. AB591-ASA3-AA3,3,5 49.27 (5) (e) 2. A county department under s. 46.215, 46.22 or 46.23 may not give a person subject to the employment and training program described in this subsection an education or training assignment, if the education or training is not likely to be completed within a 24-month period. A person who is subject to the employment and training program described in this subsection may not fulfill the hours of participation requirement under par. (d), in whole or in part, through participation in a self-initiated education or training program, if the program is not likely to be completed within a 24-month period. This subdivision does not apply beginning on the first day of the 6th month beginning after the date stated in the notice under s. 49.141 (2) (d) or on the first day of the 2nd year beginning after the effective date of this subdivision .... [revisor inserts date], whichever is sooner.".
