AB69-AA10,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB69-AA10,1,3 21. Page 2, line 6: delete "Nothing" and substitute: "Except as provided in par.
3(c), nothing".
AB69-AA10,1,5 42. Page 2, line 12: delete "If" and substitute: "Except as provided in par. (c),
5if".
AB69-AA10,1,6 63. Page 2, line 19: after that line insert:
AB69-AA10,2,4 7"(c) For any city with a population of more than 50,000 if, in 1993 or any year
8thereafter, the percentage of homicides committed in the city with a firearm exceeds
950% of all homicides committed in the city during the year, nothing in this section
10prohibits such a city from continuing to enforce an ordinance or resolution that is in
11effect on the effective date of this paragraph .... [revisor inserts date], and that
12regulates the sale, purchase, purchase delay, transfer, ownership, use, keeping,
13possession, bearing, transportation, licensing, permitting, registration or taxation
14of any firearm up until the date of the next spring or general election that is held not
15less than 45 days after the effective date of this paragraph .... [revisor inserts date],
16except that, if the existing ordinance or resolution is approved in a referendum that

1is held in the city at that next spring or general election, the city may continue to
2enforce the ordinance or resolution after the date of the election. The ballot question
3shall be "Shall the [name of city] continue to enforce the [ordinance or resolution]
4which does the following: "[text or summary of the ordinance or resolution]?"
AB69-AA10,2,105 (d) No ordinance or resolution that is enacted or adopted under sub. (2) or which
6is subject to par. (a), (b) or (c) applies to or may be enforced against an individual who
7is traveling directly through the political subdivision in which the ordinance or
8resolution is in effect if the individual is a nonresident of that political subdivision
9and if the firearm is unloaded and encased while the individual is in the political
10subdivision.".
