AB69-SA5,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB69-SA5,1,3 21. Page 2, line 6: delete lines 6 to 19, as affected by assembly amendment 3,
3and substitute:
AB69-SA5,2,2 4"(4) (a) Nothing in this section prohibits a political subdivision from continuing
5to enforce an ordinance or resolution that is in effect on the effective date of this
6paragraph .... [revisor inserts date], and that regulates the sale, purchase, purchase
7delay, transfer, ownership, use, keeping, possession, bearing, transportation,
8licensing, permitting, registration or taxation of any firearm or part of a firearm,
9including ammunition and reloader components, up until the date of the next spring
10or general election that is held not less than 45 days after the effective date of this
11paragraph .... [revisor inserts date], except that, if the existing ordinance or
12resolution is approved in a referendum that is held in the political subdivision at that
13next spring or general election, the political subdivision may continue to enforce the
14ordinance or resolution after the date of the election. The ballot question shall be
15"Shall the [name of political subdivision] continue to enforce the [ordinance or

1resolution] which does the following: "[text or summary of the ordinance or
2resolution]?""
AB69-SA5,2,113 (b) Nothing in this section prohibits a political subdivision from enacting and
4enforcing an ordinance or adopting and enforcing a resolution or, subject to par. (a),
5amending an ordinance or resolution that is in effect on the effective date of this
6paragraph .... [revisor inserts date], after the effective date of this paragraph ....

8ownership, use, keeping, possession, bearing, transportation, licensing, permitting,
9registration or taxation of any firearm or part of a firearm, including ammunition
10and reloader components, if the ordinance, resolution or amendment is approved in
11a referendum that is held in the political subdivision.
AB69-SA5,2,1812 (bm) No ordinance or resolution that is enacted or adopted under sub. (2) or
13which is subject to par. (a) or (b) applies to or may be enforced against an individual
14who is traveling directly through the political subdivision in which the ordinance or
15resolution is in effect if the individual is a nonresident of that political subdivision
16and if the firearm or part of a firearm, including ammunition and reloader
17components, is unloaded and encased while the individual is in the political
18subdivision.".
AB69-SA5,2,20 192. Page 2, line 21: after "(2)" insert: ", or a county ordinance or resolution that
20is enacted, adopted or amended under sub. (4) (b)".
