ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, To 1995 ASSEMBLY BILL 788

AB788-ASA1,1,3 An Act to renumber and amend 121.07 (6) (b); and to create 121.07 (6) (b) 1. and 2. of the statutes; relating to: reducing the primary ceiling cost per member if the state fails to pay 66.7% of partial school revenues.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB788-ASA1, s. 1 Section 1. 121.07 (6) (b) of the statutes, as affected by 1995 Wisconsin Act 27, is renumbered 121.07 (6) (b) (intro.) and amended to read:

AB788-ASA1,1,10 121.07 (6) (b) (intro.) The "primary ceiling cost per member" is $1,000., except that, if the amount determined by the joint committee on finance under s. 121.15 (3m) (c) is less than the amount certified to the committee under s. 121.15 (3m) (b), the "primary ceiling cost per member" shall be reduced by the amount calculated as follows, not to exceed $150:

AB788-ASA1, s. 2 Section 2. 121.07 (6) (b) 1. and 2. of the statutes are created to read:

AB788-ASA1,1,14 121.07 (6) (b) 1. Subtract the amount determined by the joint committee on finance under s. 121.15 (3m) (c) from the amount certified to the committee under s. 121.15 (3m) (b).

AB788-ASA1,2,3 2. Divide the remainder under subd. 1. by the state total membership in the school year in which the amount is certified to the joint committee on finance under s. 121.15 (3m) (b).
