AJR37-ASA1-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:
AJR37-ASA1-AA1,1,3 21. Page 1, line 4: after "sheriffs" insert: "and limiting the number of
3consecutive terms permitted for sheriffs".
AJR37-ASA1-AA1,1,4 42. Page 1, line 16: after that line insert:
AJR37-ASA1-AA1,1,5 5" Section 2m. Section 4 (1) (c) of article VI of the constitution is created to read:
AJR37-ASA1-AA1,1,96 [Article VI] Section 4 (1) (c) Beginning with the terms commencing after 2000,
7a person may not serve more than 3 consecutive 4-year terms as a sheriff. Time
8served during an initial partial term shall not be counted as part of the 12-year limit.
9Terms are consecutive unless they are more than 2 years apart.".
