SB491-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB491-SA2,1,2 1. Page 1, line 6: after "departments" insert "and joint fire departments".

SB491-SA2,1,3 2. Page 1, line 7: before "public" insert "and".

SB491-SA2,1,5 3. Page 1, line 7: delete the material beginning with "requirements," and ending with "control" on line 10 and substitute "requirements".

SB491-SA2,1,7 4. Page 4, line 1: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 5, line 24.

SB491-SA2,1,9 5. Page 7, line 5: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 8, line 2.

SB491-SA2,1,11 6. Page 8, line 13: on lines 13 and 14, after "department" insert: "or a joint fire department, or both,".

SB491-SA2,1,12 7. Page 8, line 15: after "police" insert "and fire".

SB491-SA2,1,15 8. Page 8, line 17: delete "police department" and substitute: "department. If only one joint department is created, each city shall retain its existing board of police and fire commissioners to govern the separate department".

SB491-SA2,2,5 9. Page 8, line 21: delete "(7m)" and substitute: "(7n), a joint board of commissioners that is created under this paragraph to govern a joint fire department is subject to the provisions of subs. (8) to (12) and a joint board of commissioners that is created under this paragraph to govern a joint police and fire department is subject to the provisions of subs. (2) to (12)".
