SB569-SA1,1,2 1. Page 1, line 1: after "beneath" insert "or adjacent to".

SB569-SA1,1,4 2. Page 2, line 2: before the plain period insert "or within a protection zone established under s. 144.943 (2) (f)".

SB569-SA1,1,5 3. Page 2, line 2: after that line insert:

SB569-SA1,1,6 " Section 2. 144.943 (2) (f) of the statutes is created to read:

SB569-SA1,1,11 144.943 (2) (f) Specification of a protection zone on the landward side of the ordinary high-water mark of the Great Lakes, and bays and harbors adjacent to the Great Lakes, within which zone a prohibition against drilling operations for oil or gas is necessary to protect those waters from a discharge, as defined in s. 144.76 (1) (a), of a hazardous substance from oil or gas exploration or production.".
