AB6-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB6-AA1,1,2 21. Page 3, line 25: after that line insert:
AB6-AA1,1,3 3" Section 3m. 49.143 (2m) of the statutes is created to read:
AB6-AA1,1,124 49.143 (2m) Nutrition outreach. A Wisconsin works agency may establish a
5a nutrition outreach program with the community steering committee established
6under sub. (2) (a). The outreach program may be designed to address the nutritional
7needs of qualified aliens, as defined in s. 49.124 (1) (df). The Wisconsin works agency
8and community steering committee may coordinate with local food pantries and food
9banks and other interested parties to increase the supply of food available for
10qualified aliens. Under the outreach program, the Wisconsin works agency may do
11anything that it determines would best effect the desired outcome of the program,
12including any of the following:
AB6-AA1,1,1313 (a) Establish a local drop-off point for donated food.

1(b) Establish a hotline for information about the availability of food and the
2types of food to donate.
AB6-AA1,2,33 (c) Coordinate with volunteer organizations for food collection activities.
AB6-AA1,2,54 (d) Seek ongoing periodic commitments of donations from individuals,
5businesses, religious associations and civic groups.
AB6-AA1,2,66 (e) Recruit mentor families.
AB6-AA1,2,87 (f) Establish a subcommittee of the community steering committee that
8includes qualified aliens and that may do any of the following:
AB6-AA1,2,109 1. Develop flyers identifying cultural-specific foods and preferred packaging
10of donated food.
AB6-AA1,2,1111 2. Plan meal-oriented social events for mentors and qualified aliens.
AB6-AA1,2,1212 (g) Obtain cultural-specific food from statewide food banks.".
