SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 2, TO SENATE BILL 2

SB2-SSA2-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB2-SSA2-SA1,1,3 1. Page 2, line 9: after "school;" insert "a loan to Milwaukee Public Schools to construct Milwaukee Technical School;".

SB2-SSA2-SA1,1,4 2. Page 14, line 22: after that line insert:

SB2-SSA2-SA1,1,11 "(4f) Construction of Milwaukee Technical School. In the 1998-99 school year, the board of commissioners of public lands shall loan $35,000,000 from the common school fund to the board of school directors of the Milwaukee Public Schools for the purpose of constructing Milwaukee Technical School, a public high school in the city of Milwaukee. Notwithstanding sections 24.66 (3) and 67.12 (12) of the statutes, the board of school directors is not required to submit the question of borrowing the funds under this subsection to the electors for approval.".
