ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 1997 ASSEMBLY BILL 108

AB108-ASA1,1,2 An Act to amend 21.49 (2) (a) and 21.49 (3) (a) of the statutes; relating to: national guard tuitions grants.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB108-ASA1, s. 1 Section 1. 21.49 (2) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB108-ASA1,1,4 21.49 (2) (a) An officer or warrant officer.

AB108-ASA1, s. 2 Section 2. 21.49 (3) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB108-ASA1,1,10 21.49 (3) (a) Any eligible guard member upon satisfactory completion of a full-time or part-time course in a qualifying school is eligible for a tuition grant equal to 50% 100% of the actual tuition charged by the school or 50% 100% of the maximum resident undergraduate tuition charged by the university of Wisconsin-Madison for a comparable number of credits, whichever amount is less.

AB108-ASA1, s. 3 Section 3. Initial applicability.

AB108-ASA1,2,2 (1) This act first applies to courses completed on the effective date of this subsection.
