ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 4, TO ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 2, TO 1997 ASSEMBLY BILL 159

AB159-ASA2-AA4,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB159-ASA2-AA4,1,3 1. Page 1, line 2: delete "commencement" and substitute "requesting a study regarding the commencement".

AB159-ASA2-AA4,1,5 2. Page 1, line 3: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 2, line 19, and substitute:

AB159-ASA2-AA4,1,6 " Section 2m. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB159-ASA2-AA4,2,2 (1) The legislative council in cooperation with the board of regents of the University of Wisconsin System and the technical college system board, is requested to conduct a study of the public school calendar and the daily schedule of public schools, including the feasibility of making the calendar and the daily schedule uniform throughout the state. If the legislative council conducts the study, it shall report its recommendations to the appropriate standing committees of the legislature, in the manner provided in section 13.172 (2) of the statutes, by January 15, 1999.".
