ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 6, TO ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 1997 ASSEMBLY BILL 351

AB351-ASA1-AA6,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB351-ASA1-AA6,1,2 1. Page 36, line 4: delete "(9) (b)" and substitute "(9) (bm)".

AB351-ASA1-AA6,1,5 2. Page 36, line 5: delete "the clerk of the circuit court in which the petition is" and substitute "the district attorney on whom the petition is served under sub. (5) (am)".

AB351-ASA1-AA6,1,6 3. Page 36, line 6: delete "filed".

AB351-ASA1-AA6,1,8 4. Page 36, line 10: delete "submitted a card under par. (e) requesting" and substitute "requested notification under par. (e).".

AB351-ASA1-AA6,1,9 5. Page 36, line 11: delete that line.

AB351-ASA1-AA6,1,10 6. Page 36, line 13: delete "(b)" and substitute "(bm)".

AB351-ASA1-AA6,2,13 "(e) District attorneys shall establish a procedure by which a person specified under par. (b) may request notification about the filing of and hearings concerning a petition for extended supervision filed under sub. (5) or (9) (bm). The procedure shall allow a person specified under par. (b) to provide his or her name and address, the name of the applicable inmate and any other information that the district attorney determines is necessary. All records or portions of records that relate to mailing addresses of these persons are not subject to inspection or copying under s. 19.35 (1).".
