AB351-ASA1-AA7,1,5 5" Section 1r. 20.285 (1) (cm) of the statutes is created to read:
AB351-ASA1-AA7,1,86 20.285 (1) (cm) Studies on reducing incarceration and the impact of certain
7prisons.
A sum sufficient for the costs of the studies on reducing incarceration and
8the impact of certain prisons conducted under s. 36.25 (38).".

The board shall direct all institutions and centers to conduct ongoing

1studies concerning ways to reduce the rate of incarceration of criminal offenders and
2concerning the positive and negative impact that a supermaximum security prison
3has on the community in which it is located. The board shall provide for the results
4of the studies made under this subsection to be reported by January 31 of each year
5to the legislature under s. 13.172 (2), to the governor and to the secretary of state.".
