AB362-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB362-AA1,1,2 21. Page 1, line 4: after "system" insert "and making an appropriation".
AB362-AA1,1,3 32. Page 2, line 1: before that line insert:
AB362-AA1,1,5 4" Section 1e. 20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place,
5insert the following amounts for the purposes indicated: - See PDF for table PDF
AB362-AA1, s. 1m 6Section 1m. 20.515 (1) (ag) of the statutes is created to read:

120.515 (1) (ag) Funding of certain employer contributions for county jailers.
2The amounts in the schedule for the payments required under 1997 Wisconsin Act
3.... (this act), section 4m (1).".

AB362-AA1,2,13 7(1) Funding of certain employer contributions for county jailers. From
8January 1, 1999, to December 31, 1999, the state, from the appropriation under
9section 20.515 (1) (ag) of the statutes, as created by this act, shall pay, for any county
10government that is an employer under the Wisconsin retirement system, any
11increase in employer contributions under section 40.05 (2) (a) of the statutes during
12that period that results from granting county jailers protective occupation
13participant status under this act.
AB362-AA1,2,20 14(2) Retirement research committee study. The retirement research
15committee is requested to study alternative funding mechanisms to pay for the
16increased employer cost that results from providing county jailers protective
17occupation status under the Wisconsin retirement system. If the retirement
18research committee conducts the study, the retirement research committee shall
19submit its report to the joint survey committee on retirement systems by January 1,
201999.".
