AB362-AA2,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB362-AA2,1,3 21. Page 1, line 4: after "system" insert "and creating an individual income tax
3deduction for insurance costs paid by certain county jailers".
AB362-AA2,1,4 42. Page 3, line 13: before that line insert:
AB362-AA2,1,5 5" Section 1e. 40.05 (1) (c) of the statutes is created to read:
AB362-AA2,1,126 40.05 (1) (c) Unless otherwise provided in a collective bargaining agreement
7entered into under subch. IV of ch. 111, any participating employe who is granted
8protective occupation participant status under 1997 Wisconsin Act .... (this act) shall
9pay his or her portion of any increased cost that his or her employer would have to
10pay under sub. (2) (a) and (ar), as a result of having protective occupation participant
11status, as an employe contribution under this subsection. This amount shall be in
12addition to any amount paid under par. (a).".

1" Section 4e. 71.05 (6) (b) 27. of the statutes is created to read:
AB362-AA2,2,42 71.05 (6) (b) 27. Any amount paid by a participating employe for the increased
3insurance costs that are described under s. 40.05 (1) (c) that relate to the employe
4having protective occupation participant status, as described in that paragraph.
AB362-AA2, s. 4m 5Section 4m. Initial applicability.
AB362-AA2,2,11 6(1) The treatment of section 40.05 (1) (c) of the statutes first applies to county
7jailers who are affected by a collective bargaining agreement that contains
8provisions inconsistent with section 40.05 (1) (c) of the statutes, as created by this
9act, on the day on which the collective bargaining agreement expires or on the day
10on which the collective bargaining agreement is extended, modified or renewed,
11whichever first occurs.
AB362-AA2,2,17 12(2) The treatment of section 71.05 (6) (b) 27. of the statutes first applies to
13taxable years beginning on January 1 of the year in which a collective bargaining
14agreement that applies to county jailers and that contains provisions inconsistent
15with section 40.05 (1) (c) of the statutes, as created by this act, expires or on the day
16on which the collective bargaining agreement is extended, modified or renewed,
17whichever first occurs.".
