(c) If, before the arrested person makes his or her initial appearance under s.
6970.01, the district attorney decides not to charge an arrested person with a violation
7of s. 948.02, 948.025, 948.03, 948.09, 948.20 or 948.21 or decides to dismiss charges
8that the arrested person violated s. 948.02, 948.025, 948.03, 948.09, 948.20 or 948.21,
9the contact prohibition under par. (a) is no longer in effect when whichever of the
10following is applicable occurs:

1. If the arrested person has not yet been charged, as of the time the district
12attorney informs the arrested person or the attorney for the arrested person that he
1or she will not be charged with a violation of s. 948.02, 948.025, 948.03, 948.09,
2948.20 or 948.21.

2. If the arrested person has been charged with a violation of s. 948.02, 948.025,
4948.03, 948.09, 948.20 or 948.21, upon the court entering an order dismissing the
5charge.

(cm) If a contact prohibition expires under par. (c), the district attorney shall
7make a reasonable attempt to notify the parent or legal guardian of the alleged victim
8that the contact prohibition has expired.

(d) If a contact prohibition under par. (a) has not expired under par. (c), the
10court may, at the time of the initial appearance of the person subject to the
11prohibition, adopt and continue the contact prohibition when establishing conditions
12of release under s. 969.02 or 969.03.".
