ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 1997 ASSEMBLY BILL 577

AB577-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB577-AA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 5: delete "and affecting parole" and substitute "affecting parole and making an appropriation".

AB577-AA1,1,4 2. Page 3, line 1: before that line insert:

AB577-AA1,1,6 " Section 1e. 20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert the following amounts for the purposes indicated: - See PDF for table

AB577-AA1, s. 1m Section 1m. 20.410 (1) (bm) of the statutes is created to read:

AB577-AA1,2,3 20.410 (1) (bm) Pharmacological treatment for certain child sex offenders. The amounts in the schedule for the pharmacological treatment of certain child sex offenders.".

AB577-AA1,2,4 3. Page 3, line 1: delete " Section 1" and substitute "Section 1r".

AB577-AA1,2,5 4. Page 8, line 3: after that line insert:

AB577-AA1,2,6 " Section 11c. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB577-AA1,2,12 (1) Position authorizations. The authorized FTE positions for the department of corrections are increased by 1.0 GPR position and 1.0 GPR project position, to be funded from the appropriation under section 20.410 (1) (bm) of the statutes, as created by this act, for the purpose of performing services relating to the pharmacological treatment of certain child sex offenders. The 1.0 GPR project position shall be for a period not to exceed one year.

AB577-AA1,2,14 (1) This act takes effect on January 1, 1999.".
