ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 1997 ASSEMBLY BILL 631

AB631-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB631-AA1,1,3 1. Page 2, line 19: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 3, line 2.

AB631-AA1,1,5 2. Page 3, line 19: after "statutes" insert ", as affected by 1997 Wisconsin Act 27,".

AB631-AA1,1,6 3. Page 3, line 20: delete lines 20 to 23 and substitute:

AB631-AA1,1,8 " Section 7m. 118.40 (7) (a) of the statutes, as affected by 1997 Wisconsin Act 27, is amended to read:

AB631-AA1,2,4 118.40 (7) (a) Except as provided in par. (am), a charter school is an instrumentality of the school district in which it is located and the school board of that the school district shall employ all personnel for the in which a charter school is located shall determine whether or not the charter school is an instrumentality of the school district. If the school board determines that the charter school is an instrumentality of the school district, the school board shall employ all personnel for the charter school. If the school board determines that the charter school is not an instrumentality of the school district, the school board may not employ any personnel for the charter school.".
